Future Health Expo 2027: A New Platform Connecting Industry and Consumers
Future Health Expo 2027 is a large-scale end-to-end platform connecting industry and consumers across the full health journey - from home to hospital, and back again.
Moving beyond traditional digital health events, the Expo combines a professional programme with a dedicated consumer experience, creating a single, integrated platform that reflects how healthcare is experienced in the real world.
Co-founded by Kim Mundell (CEO, Mandeville Limited) and Kylie Williams (General Manager), the Expo will take place 15-17 April 2027 at Auckland Showgrounds.
A New Model for a Changing Health System
The event responds to growing pressure on health systems globally to deliver more accessible, connected and consumer-driven care. Future Health Expo brings together healthcare leaders, clinicians, innovators, and health consumers in Australasia’s first event of its kind - a large-scale, multi-day platform including:
- A two-day industry conference and trade exhibition for health sector leaders
- A dedicated consumer day on Saturday
- A start-up and innovation showcase
- Cross-sector dialogue connecting policy, systems, technology and lived experience
The professional programme will address system-level challenges including interoperability, service delivery models, and integration across care settings. The consumer programme will focus on prevention, practical education, and real-world tools - from managing chronic conditions to using wearables and navigating care across the system.
A Consumer-Led Future of Health
Global healthcare systems are undergoing rapid transformation, driven by ageing populations, rising chronic conditions, and accelerating technological change. These shifts are driving a move toward more consumer-driven models of care.
“People are no longer passive recipients of care; they are active healthcare consumers living in a digital world,” said Mundell. “They don’t see it as ‘digital health’ – it’s just health.”
“We saw a clear gap to better connect people with their own health – to empower and educate consumers, show them what’s available, and help them navigate the system with confidence,” adds Williams.
Future Health Expo reflects that shift - bringing together health system leaders, innovators and communities to support better health across the full care experience.
